Forward-looking and practical: Alpinmesse with Alpinforum 2025

25.11.2025

The Alpinmesse with Alpinforum 2025 impressed visitors with innovations, exciting presentations and practical workshops.

A fixture on the mountaineering scene

The Alpinmesse with Alpinforum 2025 attracted over 13,000 mountain sports enthusiasts and industry professionals. More than 220 exhibitors presented new products, technologies and sustainable solutions. Organised by CMI and ÖKAS, the trade fair offered workshops, lectures and the Alpinforum, complemented by the ‘Alpinmesse Pro’ for technical discussions. Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI), gave a positive assessment: "The meeting of manufacturers, mountain and mountain sports organisations, experts, private visitors and trade participants at the Alpinmesse with Alpinforum is underpinned by safety and the joy of mountain activities. The Alpinmesse brings together everything that makes the Alpine region so special: a passion for mountain sports, innovative strength and specialist knowledge."

Alpinforum 2025 - Focus on psychology, prevention and ethics

The Alpinforum organised by the Austrian Alpine Safety Board, addressed performance thinking, mental stress and safety in the Alpine region under the heading ‘Mountaineering, only healthy?’ Lectures covered ethics, the psychology of decision-making and accident analysis. ÖKAS President Peter Paal was delighted: "The topics of the Alpinforum 2025 clearly moved the numerous participants. The approximately 600 seats were fully occupied throughout. In particular, the multi-faceted discussions on health, doping and ethical issues in high-altitude mountaineering, but also psychological aspects such as fear and decision-making on the mountain, as well as safety when hiking or in winter, showed how relevant these topics are for experts and multipliers. We are delighted with the great interest shown and that we were able to provide new and important impetus."

High satisfaction among exhibitors and visitors

A visitor survey confirmed high acceptance: over 90 percent of visitors gave top marks. New products, manufacturer exchanges and testing opportunities were the reasons. 25 percent of visitors travelled from abroad; the age group up to 40 years was strongly represented. The accompanying programme included 60 workshops and 50 lectures. New additions were the Community Corner and the Biathlon Arena (opened by Vincent Defrasne). The BlocAlpin Boulder Cup as well as lectures and presentations by alpine heroes such as Lukas Wörle, Jakob Schubert and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner enriched the programme. Project manager Christoph Heuschneider summed it up: "The results of the visitor survey and the feedback from exhibitors confirm the high relevance of the Alpinmesse with Alpinforum for European mountain sports. The unique supporting programme perfectly complements the direct dialogue between visitors and participants with brand manufacturers and the opportunity to test many products on site. We are delighted with the high level of participation in the diverse and high-calibre lectures, the extensive and high-quality workshop programme, the new Community Corner and the new Biathlon Arena."
