Mountain bike summer 2025: new trails and anniversaries in Tirol

16.06.2025

Summer is just around the corner - and with it numerous new features on the mountain bike trails in Tirol. Let the bike season begin!

10 years Bike Republic Sölden / Ötztal

Tyrol's longest side valley with over 850 kilometers of signposted and varied MTB trails proves that the Ötztal is not only a top address for racing cyclists, but also for mountain bike fans. To mark the 10th anniversary of the Bike Republic Sölden, there will not only be a birthday festival with the BRS Birthday Party from 19 to 22 June, but also the opening of the 13,000 square meter slopestyle area Dirt District, which was already in use during the Swatch Nines 2024. The “Bartigs Bödele” trail has also been redesigned, now decoupled from the hiking trail for even more riding fun. MTB lovers will find single trails as well as shaped lines and enduro trails from family-friendly to hardcore throughout Ötztal.

New trail park in Nassereith / Imst

A family-friendly trail park with three trails is currently being built in Nassereith - a flow trail, a kids' trail and an uphill trail for experienced riders. There is also a mobile pump track made from recyclable materials, which allows the ice rink to be used in summer. The park is complemented by a technical practice area where those interested can hone their skills or get a taste of trail riding as a beginner. All in all, the outdoor region of Imst offers MTB riding fun from bike tours on the Inn Cycle Path or the Via Claudia Augusta to challenging tours on over 285 kilometers.

Cross-border biking fun / Paznaun-Ischgl

From summer 2025, the Silvretta Bike Arena Ischgl/Samnaun and the Silva Trails Galtür will be part of the Gravity Card - the ticket to 30 top bike destinations in Europe. A new 30 km tour connects Ischgl with Ramosch in Switzerland. Highlight for marathon fans: the 80 km long Fimbapass tour via Ramosch, Martina and Samnaun. Galtür is expanding its range of trails with the Faulbrunn Trail for beginners and the more challenging Tuala and Gonda trails. Particularly challenging: the 180-metre-long Schrofa Trail. Galtür is thus establishing itself as a versatile destination for bikers of all levels.

Bettelwurf Bike Park / Hall-Wattens

Five years after the start of the project and after six months of intensive construction work, the Bettelwurf Bike Park in Absam opens at the start of the summer season. The new trail park offers a total of five varied trails for different skill levels, from the beginner trail Zunter Line to the blue Bettelwurf Line, the red trails Hunds Trail and Walder Trail and the advanced Fallbach Trail. The offer is complemented by the Milky Way uphill trail and the Bikepark Base with pump track, jumping and balancing elements as well as easy, short and flowing beginner trails.

Tyrol's MTB scene on the upswing

The highlights presented here are just a selection of what mountain bike fans can expect in Tyrol in summer 2025. Whether finely developed trail parks or high alpine enduro routes: the offer is growing in all regions from the Kitzbühel Alps to the Arlberg - technically, scenically and in terms of infrastructure. Tirol continues to develop consistently and remains one of the most exciting MTB destinations in the Alps. A variety of bike schools, guides and practice trails provide the necessary riding technique fine-tuning for beginners to pros. What's more, bike transportation, including public transport, is constantly being expanded: there are now special bike buses in some regions, trains have parking spaces and most lifts offer bike transport to the top.

Anyone interested in the latest developments in the bike sector can also make a note of the Alpine Trade Fair from November 22 to 23, 2025.
